Nvidia has just announced the successors to the Nvidia GeForce 20×0 graphics cards.
The new graphics card are said to be a massive leap forward from the previous generation at a much lesser price.
Resolutions of up to 8k have been said to be supported, with particular emphasis for RTX. As a result of this focus, the new generation of graphics cards is much more powerful and expect somewhere close to double the frame rates achieved by the last gen graphics cards.
Sales start from September 17 for the RTX 3080, September 24 for the RTX 3090 and October for the 3070.
The pricing will be as follows:
- RTX 3070 will retail around $499
- RTX 3080 will retail around $699
- RTX 3090 will retail around $1,499
The RTX 3070 has been said to match and sometimes even outperform the best from the last generation’s graphics cards, the 2080Ti. The RTX 3070 however will cost less than half the price of the 2080Ti on launch.
A founders’ edition of the cards will be on sales later this year from Nvidia’s website.
