Is the Nvidia GTX 1060 enough for Call of Duty: Warzone?

If you are building a new gaming PC on a budget or would simply like to upgrade your graphics card without breaking the bank, probability is you have considered the Nvidia GTX 1060.

You might be wondering whether the GTX 1060 is able to run Call of Duty: Warzone or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with enough FPS.

The good news is that since the new Call of Duty series does not require any significant graphical power to get smooth FPS, the GTX 1060 might be enough for your needs. However, this depends on the FPS you want to achieve, the resolution at which you will be running the game and the graphics level you will be running the game.

Resolution: 1080p

Running at a resolution of 1920×1080 will give you around 70-80 FPS depending on whether you will be running the game on high or low graphical settings. The higher the detail, the lower the FPS you will achieve. At full settings with 1920×1080, you should get more than 60FPS at any time, which is enough to obtain smooth gameplay.

Resolution: 1440p

Increasing the resolution to 1440p will significantly affect the FPS you will get. In fact, on low settings, I have only been able to obtain a maximum of 70fps. In more complex scenes, this dipped near 60FPS.

Increasing the graphical settings to high made the FPS dip below 60FPS, which was not ideal for multiplayer gaming, but was fine for single player gaming.

Conclusion

If you are getting the GTX 1060 for a 1080p monitor, the graphics card is absolutely fine. However, for 1440p, you will have to turn down the settings to achieve good FPS. Otherwise, you might wish to look at a better graphics card, such as the Nvidia GTX 2070, which is significantly more expensive.
