With the development of the PlayStation 5 being confirmed back in 2019, Sony has teased us with bits of information, until the eventual reveal of the console on 11 June 2020.
During the reveal, Sony listed several games that will be made available on the launch of the PS5, as well as games which will be launched after the console is out for sale.

Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 is the current hottest pick on the PlayStation 5. The game was originally released on the PlayStation and has gotten better with each iteration. It builds on 22 years of experience, now having the best fidelity yet, the biggest car selection yet and the best driving dynamics yet. This is a game that will be a must on the PlayStation 5.

The below list contains all the games which have been announced to be released specifically for the PlayStation 5.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
This has been one of the biggest surprises during the event. This new iteration follows on 2018’s Spider-Man game. This time, the game focuses on Peter Parker’s apprentice: Miles Morales. Miles Morales is a superpowered person who was seen at the end of the first game.
This game will be taking advantage of the PlayStation 5’s fast SSD, allowing you to quickly travel across New York. Haptic feedback on the new PS5 controller will also be a feature of the game.
Announced last December 2019, this is a hack and slash game with solo or co-op PvE.
Horizon: Forbidden West
This is an open-world game with beautiful beaches and epic mountains to explore. In Horizon: Forbidden West, Aloy return in this graphical masterpiece.
In Oddworld: Soulstorm, we see Abe lead an uprising with his fellow Mudokens against their exploitative capitalist overlords, the Glukkons.
🔥 Resident Evil 8: Village
Remember Resident Evil 4? This sequel will see the return to creepy European settings and the return of Chris Redfield. Expect a terrifying yet breath-taking experience.
After 10 years, we see the return of Demon’s Souls, making us discover that COVID-19 was a piece of cake.
Grand Theft Auto 5 enhanced
We see the return of GTA5 with more content, more missions and more heists. The PS5 version will come in 2021, and those still playing the GTA Online portion of the game on PS4 will get $1 million of in-game cash every month until its PS5 release.
🔥 Project Athia
Project Athia is set in a lush world full of creatures and giant dragons. This is an open world game from he developers of the Final Fantasy series, Square Enix. Expect beautiful graphics and a challenging gameplay.
Try to stay alive as you travel through a space rift which swallows worlds.
🔥 Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
A kid-friendly game which uses the PS5’s capabilities with its detailed sci-fi world. A must buy for sure.
🔥 Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a spin off from Little Big Planet, this adopting 3D rather than using a 2.5D approach.
The game appears to support four-player gameplay as was seen from the end of the trailer.
The NBA 2K21 trailer for PS5 depicts 2K Sports exec ‘Ronnie 2K’ in the court. There are no surprises here, the NBA formula can be seen here as well, with better graphics and smoother interactions.
This game is a mixture of Twisted Metal and Fortnite.
In the trailer, we see players trying to survive on a chaotic island whilst everyone’s trying to kill you, as you try to escape a timeloop.

Goodbye Volcano High
Goodbye Volcano High is an inclusive love story about teenage dinosaurs.
In Returnal you are stuck on an alien planet that which transforms every time you die. Dying in the game is in fact taken to be part of the story.
The game will be making use of the controller’s new functionality, with different fire modes using the DualSense’s adaptive triggers.
Play as an animal or insect in this snack-filled gameplay twist.
🔥 Hitman 3
In Hitman 3, expect to play in Dubai and other exotic countries, as you would expect in any Hitman game. We see Agent 47 infiltrating a skyscraper by scaling the outside against the desert backdrop and donning the various disguises. The game now sports eye-popping graphical detail.
Hitman 3 will be coming to the PS5 in January 2021.
In this game, we see Tokyo almost completely depopulated by a paranormal occult event. This is a modern Japanese horror game and you play as one of the city’s survivors. It’s up to you to defend the city against the forces besieging it using all sorts of paranormal abilities.
Jett: The Far Shore
In this game, we see Jett descending from a starship to explore the ocean planet and discover the source of an interstellar transmission.
The Far Shore promises to be an audiovisual (and vibrationally tactile) experience.
Kena: Bridge of the Spirits
Find and grow a team of spirit companions in this story-driven adventure game. Expect some interesting use of 3D audio and use of the DualSense’s features.
Little Devil Inside
This is a cartoon style RPG. Very little has been said about this game, so there’s more information coming in the future.
Returning from PS4’s Playroom VR game, Astro will showcase the PS5’s innovation in VR. It takes advantage of the PS5’s new technologies, such as the new DualSense controller.
The game will come pre-loaded on the console, so there is no need to buy it.
